CIMCO COmmunication Responds to Community Needs Through its Annual Outreach Program
Oakbrook Terrace, IL, January 9, 2007 - CIMCO Communications has made it priority each year to enhance its philanthropic efforts by giving back to the community in which its people live and work. By choosing a variety of organizations to support, as well as contributing time and money to worthy causes, CIMCO continues its mission to offer opportunity and purpose to those in need within its surrounding community.
This program has increasingly provided funding for food, books, holiday gifts and other items for various organizations in the Chicagoland area. It has also helped several families during the holiday season with donations collected from employees looking for more ways to enrich the lives of others.
"CIMCO maintains a strong commitment to community involvement and contributes to organizations that share similar principals," said Bill Capraro, president and CEO of CIMCO. "We encourage our personnel to be active in regional affairs, and we constantly seek opportunities that allow us to give back to the community in a variety of ways each year."
In 2006, CIMCO was humbled by the call for action from a client on behalf of a teacher in Texas. As part of the school's book drive, CIMCO was able to donate hundreds of books to help fulfill the school's goal. With this effort alone, the educational experience for these young children will be positively affected from the knowledge they will gain having access to such needed materials.
CIMCO also contributed monetarily to several local organizations including the Salvation Army, Cornerstone Services and Aspire of Illinois. The monetary contributions are comprised of corporate funds and private donations made by the employees of CIMCO. In addition to the money raised, CIMCO proudly sponsored this year's holiday party for Aspire of Illinois, an organization that provides people with developmental disabilities the individualized support and opportunities to help each person achieve their highest potential in their daily activities. CIMCO employees also volunteered their time to help staff the party and assist in any way to make the event a success.
The company also adopts a family each year through Aspire of Illinois. This year, CIMCO adopted seven families equivalent to 31 people. More than 50 employees donated their time and money to purchase and deliver food gift certificates and holiday presents for each person in the seven families.
This year, CIMCO was also able to sponsor forty-two residents of Cornerstone Services, giving them each the chance to attend the organization's annual holiday party. Cornerstone Services is an advocate and provider of residential, behavioral health, training, employment, and other services for people with disabilities in the Will County, Illinois area.
"We are proud to take part in the various activities within our community that truly make a difference in other's lives. We look forward to another year in which we can continue to deliver on our mission bringing some fortune to those in otherwise different circumstances," commented Capraro.
