CIMCO Site Audits Helps Organizations Cut Telecom Waste

The new offering examines an organization's inbound and outbound local and long distance voice services, data and Internet access systems, and makes strategic recommendations for improvement.

The Professional Services Group gathers data and takes inventory of existing services, matches the physical inventory to billing statements, and performs high-leve traffic analyses. The results are detailed and comprehensive evaluations of existing phone lines, circuit configurations and associated services to identify potential opportunities for savings and efficiency.
In an early trial of the service, CIMCO discovered that a Chicago-area health system was paying for phone lines that were actually serving other businesses and that many lines within its dispersed facilities were not being used at all. As a result of the elimination of the errant and unused lines, the health system estimates a monthly savings of $20,000 to $25,000.
